Winter Whimsy Girl with Watercolors

After spending weeks and weeks on working on Projects for my Sketch Your Life Online Class, last Night I finally took the time to sit down and to draw something “just for fun” ! Sometimes that’s exactly what you need to get your creative juices flowing again . . . not that all the Work for Sketch Your Life wasn’t fun-it was-a whole lot of it! But if you are just sitting down with no intention and no set goal of how a piece has to turn out it is a little more freeing-just playing . . . I usually start out with a rough idea-in this case I wanted a whimsical Girl and I wanted it to have a winter theme . . . and you can see here what I ended up with . . .! That’s my favourite Way to create-to just start and see where it takes you with no pressure and no expectations to myself . . . and most of the time those pieces turn out the best-probably because you do not try to hard but just go with the flow and do not take it to serious  🙂

In fact I love her so much, I decided to get some Christmas Cards printed with that Design . . . so I will add one or two more matching pieces-maybe some winter buddies to go along with her style (maybe an owl? a reindeer? a bird? a bunny?) to create some variety in my Cards . . . see . . . now there it is again-the “pressure” . . . because NOW I want those other two pieces to turn out just as cute as her . . . and I bet I will not succeed 100% *lol* . . . that’s how it goes . . .  🙂
