For quite a while now I own the Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/CreativeCreationsByAndrea . . . Those of you who have you own Facebook Page know how ridiculous “Pages” got over time-it seems like the only point of Pages lately is for Facebook to make money with them since they want you to pay for reaching your audience. I thought about this for quite a while-thought about completely leaving Facebook (at least the Facebook Page) because it is just not “worth” it anymore-you have an audience of almost 1.300 people-1.300 people who are interested in seeing your news & updates in their newsfeed-but what happens is that only very few of those people in fact WILL end up seing the things I share with them (lately with all my postings the number of people I reached vary between as little as 40 to max. 450) . . . to reach more (or all) of your audience you have to pay pay pay . . .! I do pay for advertising-and I gladly do-I always support others and am more than willing to pay for good service and for advertising-but not in this way-not to show just a tiny sketch I did to people . . .! So-in the end I thought before completely ditching Facebook (I will be still on Instagram-let us see how long it’ll take till they will start making money with Instagram as well . . .) . . . I will give it another shot by moving from a Page to a Group . . .! So please-if you read this and if you are still interested in seing my work on Facebook, in staying up to date on my artsy adventures there-then hop over to https://www.facebook.com/groups/andreagomoll/ and just click the “join group” button. For the next couple of days I will still post to both Places-this Page AND the Group-so once you have moved over to the group feel free to “unlike” the Page so you do not get News twice! Another thing I like better about the group is that you can engage with me & others much better in a group-you can share your work (inspired by my classes or my videos etc.) there for me and others to see-you can ask art-related questions there-I even thought about doing some fun Group-Projects in the future like Swaps or Challenges . . . we will see 🙂 So I hope it’ll be also more interactive than a Page!
