I recently agreed to do an Art Swap / an Art Collaboration with Ayala Art. I absolutely enjoy Collaborative Projects – so Projects where more than one Artist works on a Piece of Art.
We both agreed to prepare a fun Mixed Media Background, then send it on to the other Person for her to finish it off with a Face – then it gets returned to the Person who started it. Firts of all it’s totally fun and inspiring to continue to work on a Piece another Person started – plus – in the End you have a lovely Piece of Collab Art to hang on your Wall …
So here’s a Video of the Process of me creating my Mixed Media Background … I had so much fun just adding Layers, Texture, Colors etc. – I had a hard time to stop myself 🙂 Really can’t wait to see what Ayala Art is gonna do with it and what she’s gonna add to it … we will share that soon – but for now – it’s all about some fun Background Techniques … enjoy!
Supplies used: Canvas Board, Liquitex Gesso white, Acrylic Paint (Liquetex Basic & Fluorescent Paint by Ocaldo), Maya Gold (black) by Viva Decor, Stencils (Faber Castell & The Crafters Workshop), Faber Castell Big Brush Pen & Pitt Artist Pen (M) & Gelatos, Patterned Paper Scraps & old Bookpages, Golden Gel Medium, Gold Leafing Flakes
