New Sketchbook I’m so in love with: Midori

If you’re taking my Sketch your Life Online Class, you know what my favourite Sketchbooks are … I just LOVE the Moleskine Sketchbooks & Watercolor Sketchbooks and the small Sketchbooks / Travel Sketchbooks by Hahnemühlen … but I just found a new Love … the Midori Travelers Notebook. Many people use it as a Planner (like a Filofax etc.) but I bought it to use it as a Sketchbook + Journal/Diary + Poroject Life Book/Smashbook. All of that? Yes … that’s what I really LOVE about the Midori System … it’s acutally that leather Flap with Rubber Strings and you can add different Booklets to it – and it holds a LOT (so you can make it really nice & chunky which I LOVE)! The leather feels (and smells) so good and I just love how it feels in your hands – love to open it and flip through the Pages …! I added 3 different Booklets to it right now – one is a plain white Booklet with rather thin Paper for Inspiration / Smashbook Style, another Booklet with kraft Pages (using this one as a Journal / Diary) and anothe rone with more heavyweight white Pages to use as a everyday Sketchbook). Not sure yet how the Paper takes Watercolor – still need to try that – but if it doesn’t take it well I can still make my own Booklet out of Watercolor Paper  🙂  And I love that once the Booklets are filled – you can just take them out and replace them with a new Booklet, and store the filled ones in a nice box or something … very convenient!

Anyway … this really makes me happy right now because I’m in love with this cute little Book and I’m having so much fun using & pimping it & filling the Pages …! Just thought I would share, just in case you’re still looking for a great Sketchbook / Notebook and / or for a fun Christmas Present for yourself  😉

Sharing some Photos … if you want to see more please hop over to my other Blog The Mintgreen Polkadot for some more Eyecandy since I will not be sharing so much of this one here in the Future – just thought it would be a perfect fit on here as well since you can perfectly use it as a Sketchbook or Artjournal as well – not only as a Notebook or Planner … 🙂

  • Judi Pennington - I have one of these and love it! Which pen holder are you using on the cover? It doesn’t look like the metal midori pen holder that I saw on line. Yours appears to be leather. Thanks.16. December 2014 – 15:07ReplyCancel

  • Dina Fettig - That’s a very nice sketchbook. I also love the Stillmann & Birn sketchbooks. Have you ever tried them? they are not as cool as this one but for example the Zeta is perfekt for watercolor. Its white and has a very smooth surface. I really like it and it is available in different formats (and I’m no retailer or something like that, just a fan :-)).17. December 2014 – 10:19ReplyCancel
