So-it is been rather quiet here lately-which can only mean one thing: it is summer-which means for me as a Wedding Photographer = main season. I am having a lot of work on my plate right now-shooting weddings-editing thousands of photos-creating Photobooks-so sometimes all you want to do in the evening (or rather at night since usually I am working on the Computer till the late hours of the night *lol*) is to crawl into bed or relax with a book or while watching some TV . . . my Muse has been on Vacation lately too I think *lol*-maybe the temperatures are to high for her 😉 Anyways-yesterday all of a sudden she showed up again and I just felt like sitting down and creating-painting-drawing-getting my hands dirty with Paint & Inks . . . so this Girl & her Owl Friend appeared 🙂 Lately I have been working on a small scale very often, and this piece reminded me on how much fun it is to work on a larger scale-so much more space to really work on the small details . . . 🙂 I have recorded the process on Video again-no fancy editing-just a timelapse of the process-you can find the Video at the end of the Blog Entry-but first some pictures of the Mixed Media Painting . . .
SUPPLIES I used:
• Watercolor Paper
• Pencil
• Neocolor II Watersoluble Crayons
• Distress Paints
• Prismacolor Colored Pencils
• white Sharpie Paint Marker
• Smudge Tool
• Luminarte Silk Acrylic Glaze
• a variety of Stencils
• Texture Paste
• Fluorescent Ink
• Feathers
• Collage Paper (Music Sheets) & Gel Medium
• Maya Gold
And the Video . . .
Hope you are all enjoying the Summer (well-at least it is summer in my neck of the woods) . . . <3
