1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? They sit wrapped under the tree *lol* . . . wrapping is a MUST-it is half the fun to UNWRAP presents . . . so they definitely have to be wrapped!!!
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Depends . . . but mostly white since I prefer the traditional look . . . some coloured lights are okey-a good mixture . . .
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No . . .
5. When do you put your decorations up? We usually start putting all decoration up at the beginning of december and kind of keep adding little bits & pieces here and there all trough the december-like received cards & tiny gifts etc.
6. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: Waiting for the "Weihnachtsmann" to arrive on the evening of december 24th . . . I usually was VERY excited and recited my learned christmas-poem (we had to recite a learned poem or song to Santa before receiving our gifts-that was a tradition) over and over again to make sure I was prepared when Santa would arrive *lol* . . .
7. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I really can not remember HOW or WHEN exactly I got to know the truth . . . I guess I was 6 or something like that and I guess my big brother told me somehow . . . I think . . .
8. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Uhmmm . . . yeah . . . sure . . . in Germany it is tradition to open the gifts on Christmas-Eve instead of in the morning of the 25th . . .
9. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? In a very traditional way-white lights-tinsel-ornaments (gold & red or gold & orange) and some other sparkling ornaments like stars . . .
10. Snow! Love it or Dread it? LOVE it . . . absolutely!!!
11. Do you know how to ice skate? Well . . . yeah-I am not very good at it-just the basics (and I DO KNOW how to stop again *lol*)
12. Do you remember your favorite gift? Hmmm . . . no . . . actually not . . . but I remember one gift I received as a little child which I really LOVED for years . . . it was a little Piano for children on which you could really play and it was oooo cool-I loved it (even tough I could never *really* play the piano-mostly I made up my own songs as a child *g*)!
13. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Enjoying some quiet days with my family-just relaxing-doing things I love and usually do not have the time for (like reading a good book, watching my favourite movies . . .)!!!
14. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Chocolate-Cream-Pudding with Vanilla-Sauce *yum* . . .
15. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Decorating the tree on december 23rd . . .
16. What tops your tree? A glittering, shimmering star . . .
17. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? To be honest-both!!! I LOVE to give presents and to really come up with something original and extraordinary and I usually can not wait for others to open my presents to see how they like them-that’s so much fun! But I also love receiving presents-of course . . . who does not???
18. What is your favorite Christmas Song? "Silent Night" in every language . . . LOVE it!!!
19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Nice to look at-use them for decoration-purpose . . . but do not eat them afterwards . . . my niece LOVES them so she will get them afterwards :o)
